NEW Golf Professional at JRCC

Dear Members, Jeremy is pleased to announce the newest addition to our Golf Pro Shop staff,  David M. Mascitti, PGA, 1st Assistant Golf Professional.  Jeremy shared this background with the JRCC members: David M. Mascitti was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia.  He lived in James Landing, attended Ferguson High School and then moved to Virginia Beach where he played high school golf at Frank W. Cox.  He earned his B.S. in Business Management at Elon College and also played on the golf team.  He started his golf career at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1994.  After passing his Playing Ability Test (PAT) a few years later at Club Med in Port St. Lucie, Florida, he began his PGA career at Kingsmill Resort.  In 1998, he accepted the same position at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.  He earned his PGA Membership in 2008.  For ten years he was the Head Professional at The Pines at Elizabeth City and for three years at Greenbrier Country Club in Chesapeake, Virginia.  Most recently, he was running the Woods Course at Kingsmill.   David is looking forward to bringing his exemplary customer service and teaching skills to the Membership at James River Country Club.  In his free time, he enjoys watching his daughter, Madeline, play basketball and tennis for Cox High School, spending quality time with his wife, Kristin, playing the great game of golf and fishing.
