Note from the PRO: June 2, June 9th and September 1 - 3

I trust everyone had a blessed holiday weekend. Just wanted to remind everyone that we will be happy to help you get in a group for June 2^nd Ladies Day if you are looking to play. Contact the Pro Shop to sign up.

The Ladies Member-Member JUNE 9th sign up is posted in the Pro Shop. If you do not have a partner please call us and we can give you some suggestions.  We are planning on having a Shotgun start at 9am while adhering to the Governors guidelines. We will have 2 divisions for the Member-Member: Medallion Course and Green Tee. The format is a Shamble both players will tee off and play their own ball in from there with full handicap. Play well and have fun! We will keep you posted to any changes.

Ladies State Team Matches (74th Annual September 1 - 3 )looks like it will be a go this season. If you have interest in playing please contact the golf shop. It will be a great event played at Wintergreen resort Devils Knob.

Thanks to those of you that braved the weather on Tuesday. We had 12 ladies participate and each division was represented. Winners are determined based on the cards turned in and the size of each division.

It has been great to see so many of the Ladies out playing golf. Tuesday was our first “official” ladies day. We had 14 ladies participate and we paid out 2 gross and 2 nets in the 18 hole group.

Jeremy wanted to confirm a ladies league rule for league play only. This rule will come into play on #2, #3 and #17 and has been put into play to increase enjoyment of the game and pace of play.

When a player hits a ball in the water it costs one shot to put a new ball in play. For one additional shot a player can chose to take a drop on the other side of the yellow staked penalty area at the designated drop zone (closely mown area).  For example: I hit a ball in the water on 17, I am in the water on my 1^st shot, taking the ball out on my 2^nd hitting my 3^rd from back on the tee. I can choose to hit my 3^rd shot from the tee or for an additional shot drop on the other side of the water in the drop zone hitting my 4^th shot. Use this rule during your casual and league play days. As always if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.

Hopefully we can continue to grow our ladies golf program. Jeremy will be working to coordinate our most recent additions to the Ladies League with those of you that already are playing regularly on the course! Please let Jeremy know if you would like him to coordinate a new player into your group.
